Hands in Poker the rules and more about the strategies
When you start poker, it is not so easy to know everything about it. Most of the time, it takes time to understand the rules and more about the strategies of the players and use them properly. We need some time and patience to understand everything. Something important in poker is to know the origin of it as well. Poker was and it is still very popular in USA and most of the game finds its origin in America! So it is time to know a little bit more about the hand of the poker and some of them are about real stories!
Ace and 8 cards
This hand is very famous and in poker you call it the dead hands. It is about a sheriff during the western time. He was a sheriff in USA during the XIX century and he used to manage the justice as he wanted. The sheriff also called Wild Bill Hickok loved guns and he was using them like you, you can use water. The sheriff was quite susceptible and you will understand soon why! One day, he was going to the salon and when he went in it 3 guys were laughing at him. It took 2 seconds to the sheriff to take his gun and killed 2 of them and hurt the last one. Wild Bill Hickok had a lot of enemies and another day, when he was playing poker in a saloon, he received an Ace and an 8 in his hands, the river was playing for him but the last card wasn’t known and he went all in. Another player called him. When the dealer decided to turn the card, a cowboy from somewhere shot him with 3 bullets and killed him. So this is why we call this hand the dead hand.
Pocket aces
In the poker language, this pair of card is called the American Airlines the Rockets or the bullets or the Croup. It is the best pairs that you can receive before the flop but also you have 25% of chance to win with it.
As and King
We call with pair the Big Slick or Anna Kournikova. Big Slick refers to the oil slick. It is a very nice and but also it is very slippery to play with it. New players decided to call this pair the Anna Kournikova. It is nice to have it between your hands but it is quite difficult to win with it. It is quite rare. Also, we call it walking back to Houston. During a Texas road gambling, a lot of Texas players were playing with it and even if the river wasn’t matching with their cards, they were obstinate and kept playing with it and lost everything. So, they want back to Houston with empty pockets.
Ace and Jack
We call it the blackjack through the famous cards game which you can play at the casino. If the symbol of this game is a jack and an ace is because, for a moment the game wasn’t so interesting for players and casino decided to offer bonuses when a blackjack player was getting a black jack and a black ace.
